Isabella, Sunday 13th December, 2009: Spot-winged Glider Dragonfly

With special thanks to whoever invented image-stabilisation for cameras!

This dragonfly landed on a twig about 3 or 4 metres away from me. I zoomed the camera

in as far as it would go (18x) and was amazed that the image-stablisation allowed me to

get a reasonably clear picture. I've enlarged it digitally on the computer since,

otherwise you'd hardly be able to see it at all!
